  • ALICIA GAROUTTE will officially sign her letter of intent to attend Benedictine College in Atchison, KS and play for "the Lady Ravens" on a Basketball Scholarship.  The event is scheduled to take place at 3:00 PM Monday March 24th at Kickapoo High School.   Congratulations Alicia!! (Don't forget to wear that beanie!)
  • BOOSTER CLUB MEETING   The Booster club has scheduled a season wrap-up meeting Monday March 24 6PM at Kickapoo to wrap up end of the year business and start putting together ideas for next year. Please try to attend.
  • On a night filled with laughter and tears, stories and memories, and some hello's and goodbyes the Lady Chief's brought closure to a successful campaign. A night where seniors Bettinger, Garoutte, and Noble were celebrated, saluted, and wished well in future endevers; Coach Down's stepped down as JV Coach; and Coach Phillip's accentuated the positives (ie December victories over 5A State Champs Rockbridge and 4A State Champs Boliver) in what was a emotionally exausting season...

          The evening at Millies included a tasty dinner, a well done season highlight video, videos of and reflections by all

          three seniors, and recognition of all three teams

          by their respective coach. 

          Thank you to all that worked so hard to make this event fun and memorable for our girls. It left our appetite wet for

          the 2008-2009 campaign. (ONLY  7  MORE MONTHS UNTIL BASKETBALL STARTS!)

         Again, Good Luck and Good Fortune to Alicia, Alex, and Shawna.

  • Lady Tigers steal thunder, coast past Kickapoo 49-36  for District 12 Crown; end solid season for 21-6  Lady Chiefs.

          

  • Lady Chiefs earn appearance in District 12 Finals!  Led by 17 point performance of  senior Alicia Garoutte top seeded Kickapoo defeated fourth seeded Parkview 55-45 to gain a District Finals birth.

          (1) Lady Chiefs (21-5) now will face (2) Ozark (21-5) for District Crown!

          Game Time will be 6PM Friday 2/22 followed by the boys Championship with the same two schools!

  • The make up date for the Kickapoo vs Parkview game has been set for Saturday February 9th at Kickapoo with the JV Game starting at 2 PM. Middle School Night has also been rescheduled for this day.  All 8th grade Middle School girls basketball players from Springfield are invited to attend and will be admitted free of charge by showing their student athletic card. Also, girls will be introduced at halftime of the varsity game with a reception immediately following the contest.  Lady Chiefs and Coaches will be on hand to greet all perspective Lady Chiefs.
  • Freshman Girls WIN  Spingfield Tournament 41-35 vs Hillcrest! Finish season 15-2.
  • Don't forget the big rivalry game vs Glendale will take place Monday 2/4 at Glendale.  Come out and show that Kickapoo Spirit.  Let's out cheer them in their own Gym! The JV game stats at 6PM with the Varsity following.
  • The 1/31 Kickapoo Girls Basketball Game has been postponed due to inclement weather;  Middle School night will be rescheduled.  Check back for updated information!
